Yes, I have one. It …
Yes, I have one. It works well as an indirect controller, meaning that there is a difference between where you think the controller is, and where the computer thinks it is. It is not precise enough to be a direct controller.
By the way: I am not using the Wiimotes built-in “tracking” capabilities here. The 3D tracking shown in these videos is done by an external optical tracker, which is much better than what the Razer Hydra can do.

Have you heard of …
Have you heard of the Razer Hydra pc motion controller? It’s more limited than the Wii as far as distance from the base station, but it’s much more precise (at least as far as my Wii is concerned).
If you want to try a Hydra out, let me know. I work downstairs in the microprobe lab and am willing to bring mine in to try out.

Yes, that’s exactly what I’m doing.

I don’t know much …
I don’t know much about the background removal you are using, but wouldn’t it be easier to just have the kinect take a picture of the room without you in it, and then have it record you while in it? It would know what the room looks like without you in it, so all you would have to do is program it to just track you and get rid of the room. Sorry if I am not clear on what I mean.

Oddly, aromatic …
Oddly, aromatic bonds are stronger than usual (single) bonds. The extra electron is dislocated and shared with other carbon atoms in the molecule.

thx a lot … i …
thx a lot … i didnt know about the Fullerenes forms of the carbon.
it still seems like a little unstable form to me because of the free electron over there.
but hey, chemistry is a crazy science.

I believe they are called valence electrons :p

They do usually …
They do usually form tetrahedral structures (diamond), but they also have a configuration where each atom bonds with three others at 120 degrees (benzene / fullerenes). Check Wikipedia for “aromatic bonds.”

carbon atom?? thats odd, i always thought that carbon atoms have 4 electrons in their last orbit…
shouldnt it be a square??

Haha thanks, I had missed the part where you said 3D TV in the video. I also watched the “Creating a Buckyball using NCK” video and thought you were wearing 3D glasses there. But you didn’t explain how you were able to see the Buckyball…are those some souped up version of 3D glasses?
