Board of Directors Application Process

The New Mexico Alliance for School-Based Health Care is seeking Board of Director members who are committed to school-based health care, enjoy working with dedicated and like-minded colleagues, and would like to actively participate on a working non-profit governance board. The organization has experienced exciting growth in the past few years and needs board members with energy, passion, and commitment! Board members serve a two year term beginning July 1 and ending June 30. Please read the Board Member Commitment for more information about expectations and responsibilities. Interested candidates must submit an application, and biographical information (i.e. a resume or vita) to Mary Kay Pera, President-Elect.

The Executive Committee of the NMASBHC shall consist of the Executive Director, the President, the President-Elect, the Secretary, and the Treasurer. The President-Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer shall be appointed by the NMASBHC Board for a one (1) year term of office, beginning July 1 and ending June 30. The President-Elect shall assume the office of President upon completion of the term as President-Elect, and the President shall become Immediate Past President upon completion of the term as President. The Executive Director serves on the Executive Committee but is a non-voting member.

In addition to the Executive Committee, there will be a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 15 At-Large Directors from around New Mexico — at least half of whom must be elected by the membership, with the remainder elected by the Board of Directors. They will serve a two (2) year term of office, beginning July 1 and ending June 30.
